Dawn Stewart - Director of Athletics, Otterbein University
Dawn Stewart is my primary supervisor for this mentorship experience. She is my main point of contact in discussing hours on the job, what duties I'll carry out, and what my expectations are. She also will evaluate my performance at the end of the mentorship and let Dr. Tiell know about my strengths and weaknesses.
Dawn has been the Director of Athletics at Otterbein University since April, 2012. She is also an Otterbein alum, graduating in the class of 1998. She played tennis at Otterbein, and then transitioned to recruiting coordinator and assistant coach for the Otterbein tennis program after graduating. She worked in the Dayton Flyers athletic program from 2000-2008, getting multiple promotions she moved from ticketing affairs to eventually leading the office of athletics academic affairs. In 2008 she was hired by Capital University to serve as athletic director. Perhaps her most prestigious award, in 2016 she was chosen as one of the Under Armor AD of the Year national winners.
Dawn is a fierce motivator and has a work ethic that cannot be matched. She has to juggle multiple issues at once and wear many different hats in her role as Otterbein's AD. She is friendly to all and has time for anyone with a concern. She lives in Westerville with her husband Steve and newborn toddler Jack.

Skip Ford - Athletics Facilities Supervisor & Equipment Administrator , Otterbein University
Skip Ford is the go-to guy for any issues with equipment, facilities, cleaning, laundry, or just about anything that needs fixed. He is all over the athletics buildings each day and anyone that is in any way involved in Cardinal athletics knows about Skip. He can solve whatever problem you have and does it with a big smile. He's been a member of Otterbein Athletics since the 1990's, so he has a story to share about everything. In my time working with him, you can tell he's got a huge heard and is more invested into these people than anyone I've met.
Skip is my secondary supervisor for this mentorship program. While he doesn't formally evaluate me with the class, he is there to guide me whenever Dawn isn't around or doesn't need me for in the offices. Skip is a great guy and cares deeply for this university.
